Come To Dust

Come to dust is a body of work that challenges the conventional ways we often see the naked body through the male gaze. Nan Goldin’s works are a big inspiration to me and my work, she plays a big role as to why I decided to shoot this series of images on film. I think the immediacy of her images are something I want to bring into my project.
This work explores themes of gender, freedom and sexuality. I loved witnessing the whole process come together and create a series of images and words that create a dream like escape for the viewer. It is a rebellion of the patriarchal society we live in today, showing women in their truest and most organic form.
